A grand fondo-style ride through the Sierra de los Filabres, connecting some of Almeria’s most iconic climbs. The route starts in Tíjola and begins with the long ascent to Las Menas and Calar Alto (31.7 km at 4.7%), a steady climb that ends at the highest astronomical observatory in Europe.

A descent leads to Gérgal, followed by shorter climbs toward the next challenge: the southern face of Velefique (23.3 km at 6.2%). This is a legendary climb, full of hairpins and set in a dramatic, lunar landscape.

The final test is Tetica de Bacares (1.8 km at 6.4%), a short punchy effort that rewards you with sweeping views over the Almanzora valley and surrounding sierras. From there, it’s a long descent back to Tíjola to wrap up a truly mountainous day.
